Won easily: second and third driving. KUINK was restrained until reaching the twelfth jump, then drew away into a good lead and was taken under restraint at the end. LADY ZEIS jumped well and. racing into second place while rounding the last turn, tired in the last eighth. DOUBLE TIP closed a big gap from 1 a slow beginning and fin shed fast. TRAPSTICK jumped and raced well. PECCANT was under a hard pull for the first mile, then tired. BLACK FOX had no mishaps. TOPPY MX jumped " well for the first turn of the field. PRINCE OF BOCRBON was hard ridden throughout and saved ground when entering the stretch, but could not overhaul the two leaders. FIRST MATE finished well and was weakly ridden. SWEEPING AWAY was a forward contender from the start and took the lead with a rush in the stretch, but tired in the last sixteenth anil was hard ridden at the finish. MILLWICK set a fast pace to the last turn and was taken under slight restraint, then came fast again through the stretch and was wearing the winner down at the end. BALBOA was knocked sideways at the start, but saved ground on the turns and ran a good race. OVERALL bolted at the start, but was quickly straightened cut and was in a forward position for the first three-quarters then quit. GEORGE DE MAR could never get up. WESTWOOD saved ground on all the turns and took the lead after entering the stretch but tired when challenged. ASA JEWELL had a rough race but closed a big gap in the final quarter and, finishing fastest of all, would have won in another stride. GIPSY FLYER raced creditably.
