| WOODBINE TURF NOTES TORONTO, Ont.. April 20. C. A. Crews Kings Plate candidate, Sam Blake, pulled up slightly lame after a recent workout. Thorndyke, the unsuccessful favorite for the Kings Plate last year, has grown a lot and developed into a fine-looking horse. Much is expected of him this year. Harry Giddings stable, comprising Royal Visitor. Honeys Jewel. Honey Dear. Brevet, Oakomine and the American-bred two-year-old Ieter Whiffle, has arrived at Woodbine Bark from Tijuana. The Thorncliffe Stable Plate candidates* Ave in all. are still at the Thorncliffe Farm, and are well advanced in their training. The stable thinks pretty well of Southern Glow, a three-year-old by First Sight- Southern Maid, which showed great speed last fall in trials, working from the barrier. Seven Oaks, the "picture horse," owned by Charles Robaon, wintered at the Riverdale ! Farm and is etill eligible for the King s I Plate. He is going soundly and has shown speed in his early training work. James Hefferings candidate. Forecast II., has plenty of speed and Is well advanced in his train-In*?.
