March-bank, California breeder and owner. Johnson was developed by Mr. Johns, who also brought Ivan Parke into the limelight as a rider. Johnsons contract was recently acquired by Mr. Marchbank from G. W. Jenkins. The lads rise to jockey fame has been meteoric. He only started riding last March at Tijuana and rode his first winner March 14. Subsequently he piloted twenty winners within a period of four weeks.
