PREAKNESS WINNER LAME BALTIMORE. Md.. May I.— -Coventry*, winner of the Preakness. came out of his race in bad condition. On his arrival at the stable it was found that Coventry had bowed, which means he will possibly be retired i, r the remainder of the year, it developed that trainer Duke was forced to use great patience and skill in bringing Coventry up to this race and there was MMBfl d "It until the last moment whether he would be able to send him to the post and it was a compliment to the skill of Mr. Duke as a trainer that Coventry even went to the post.
