I - MY VALET SHOWS THE WAY Runs One of His Good Races to Account for Brookside Purse, Feature at Brooklyn Park. CLKVETAND, Ohio. June 4.— J. H. Stampers My Valet ran one of his good races today and accounted for the Brookside Purse, the fifth and feature event at Brooklyn Park. He took command after the first quarter and showed the way by a comfortable margin for the remainder of the distance. Huon Pine displayed good speed but bore out on the turns and was doing his best to save second at the end from the fast finishing Fancy Free. John" Morrill was prominent in the early stages, but tired in the stretch. The intense heat continued today but the usual midweek day crowd was in attendance. Thomas Piatt outran the others in the fourth race and won in convincing style. Good racing luck enabled Col. Toka, an outsider, to score an easy victory over Nor-j cross and Edith Gibson in the initial dash. Closing with a wonderful burst of speed in the stretch, French Canadian just got up to earn the verdict in the final stride of the second race. Another exciting finish developed when Or-| lova just got up in the closing strides to beat Bkokl in the third race. This was the second winner saddled by D. Vitatoe. San Hedron and Drummond closely contested the early leadership in the sixth race. In the last quarter San Iledron had the most in reserve and won with little effort. Margaretta E. attempted to make a runaway of the seventh race. When the stretch was reached I ave Goldie found an opening next the inner rail and drew clear of the pacemaker in the closing stages. For misbehavior while at the post on Glenn in the sixth race jockey F. Seremba was set down for three days by starter Palmer. | ; 1 j
