The latter was a forward contender for the last half and finished resolutely on her own courage. F.A1.ANCE SHEET slipped through on the inside when entering the stretch and finished fast. SPANISH NAME lacked early speed. SKIRMISH was bumped on the stretch turn and taken up. PENCRAFT ran well. Scratched — 89874 Galatia, 96; 80033 Sister Sue, 107; 80908 Resonance, 94. Won driving: second and third the same. CARTOONIST set a fast pace from the start, raced BRICE into early defeat and outfinished BLIND FUsT after a hard drive through the stretch. BLIND PLAT moved up on the outside with fine speed and finished gamely, but was tiring at the end. RR1CE showed early speed and tired, but came again near the end and outgamed FLAMES. The latter was taken tip at the start and ran into interference on the far turn, then was taken up and brought to the outside, but tired.
