BODY GUARD DECISIVELY Leads Home Winnipeg and Last One in Governors Handicap, Brooklyn Parks Feature. CLEVELAND. Ohio, June 10.— Carrying t,he colors of Neal Bros., Body Guard scored a decisive victory over Winnipeg and Last One in the Governors Handicap, the fifth and feature attraction at Brooklyn Park this afternoon. Body Guard and Last One contested the early leadership closely but I after going half the way. the former drew away as his rider pleased. Winnipeg came through on the inside of the tiring Last One and easily beat him through the stretch. Coffield dropped out of contention after going the first half mile. Top mats were a necessity for comfort today. The overhead conditions were ideal j tut a cool west wind swept the course. The attendance was up to the average for a mid- ] week day. Followers of form had a profitable day, favorites earning brackets with regularity. Saving much ground at the first turn where the remainder of his opponents went extremely wide enabled Golden Sweep to get home by the smallest possible margin over Setlis Premium in the opening dash. Nervous Abie dropped into third place after Freda D. quit to the stretch Verbena outgamed Wee Dear After racing on the outside of the leaders to the stretch Verbena outgamed Wee G Dear for the major portion of the purse in the second.
