Won easily: second and third driving. SOUTH WIND was outrun to the stretch, but to-.k the lead with a rush when called on and was going away at the end. CHERUB showed early speed, but tired in the final drive. RARE GRIT fin shed gamely on the outside. DOWNCAST was always outrun. FIRST HOUR ran a good race. NEVERTHELESS set a fast early pare and quit. The latter ran a good race all the way and made a game finish. ENSUAVKD lacked early sjieed, but came fast through the stretch. GLISTER set a fast pace and tired. SWEET ANN closed up some ground. DONARITA gained steadily and was wearing the winner down at the end. LITTLE BLAZE was bhuffled back at the start and finished fast. PURE PEPPER ran a good race. Scratched — Spanish Star, 107. Won ridden nut; second and third driving. LONG POINT laced in close up pursuit to the stretch, then passed SCOOP and took a good lead, but was ri-lden cut to the end. SKIRMISH overcame early interference and, coming fast through the stretch, outganicd the tiring SCOOP at the end. The latter set a good pace and raced into a long lead, but tired badly.
