Dick Welles9 Selections At Bowie ! t H. P. WHITNEY ENTRY— EDITH P.— SWEEPING ANN. The two Whitney juveniles, MINIATOR and GOLDEN PENNANT appear to have this race all tucked away. The former, In his only start was an easy winner, but his stablemate did not fare so well. However, he is a colt of good speed and can do better. EDITH D. ran a creditable race in her last out and should save the place. SWEEPING ANN is good in any kind of going and may prove dangerous. TELUHIPE— GREEN BLAZES— CLIFF. The second race appears to be between TELURIDE and GREEN BLAZES with the former holding a slight advantage. He won in his first start here, and if he runs the same race today should again be returned the winner. GREEN BLAZES will very likely have the services of the star Munden in the saddle and her last race shculd have done her much good. Cliff scored an easy victory on opening day over the five and a half furlong route and is expected to get the show. SCORCHER— PUEAM OF THE VALLEY— MISS ROSEPALE. SCORCHER is making his first start at this meeting in this race, and if he runs to his workouts should not have much trouble in beating his company. DREAM OF THE VALLEY may wake up and run one of his good races, which he does every once in a while. If he does, can be counted on to get the place money. MISS ROSEDALE fared fairly well at the Miami course and is the one liked for third. MABEL C— JOHNNY JEWELL— SUN RAJAH. If MABEL C. were to run to her Jefferson form she should have no trouble in getting home in front here. JOHNNY JEWELL scored a nose win in his last start but with the extra weight he is packing today, dont think he can repeat. SUN RAJAH is said to be nearing winning form and her last race should have done her much good also, when she finished third. May prove dangerous. BLUE HILL— FAENZA— CLIQUE. BLUE HILL lost a couple of tough races in his only appearances here to date, but tomorrow should be different. He looks like a stand out. and is by far the best play of the day. FAENZA has a win over BLUE HILL in her last start, but is not looked for to repeat that effort. Should furnish the contention. CLIQIR runs to his best form when racing over this strip and may be expected to prove dangerous. WILKES-BARRE— RUPEE— GRAY GABLES. WILKES-BARRE is good in any kind of going and this distance is just made to order for him. If he runs back to his las two races, which were vic.orics. look for him to i make it three in a row. RUPEE also has two consecutive wins to his credit and looks like a cinch for the place. GRAY GABLES is gradually getting into winning form and should be the one to get the show. GAYLY— JIMSON— BERNIER SOU. GAYLY" runs well in any sort of going and as the track is apt to be slow today is given the call for his mud-running proclivities. He scored a good win last out and should be able to run his string to two in a row. JIMSON is now in winning form and should GAYLY fail is the one expected to cop. DERNIER . SOU usually runs kindly over this course and should soon be ready for a winning effort.
