STEEPLECHASERS TRAINING Jumpers Being Prepared for Two Days Meeting at United Hunts Racing Association. NEW YORK, N. Y., April 16. —Trainers of jumpers that are quartered at Belmont Park are taking full advantage of the Terminal Course of the United Hunts to scliool their charges for that meeting, which will be held on Saturday, April 24, and Monday, April 26. Steeplechasing in the East will not get under way until the Pimlico meeting begins. J. T. Kermath had a set of W. J. Salmons chasers out early yesterday morning and Vincent Powers also schooled the Greentree jumpers over that course. The jumps are of regulation size and all have been re-brushed with birch. The turf is in excellent condition. The fencers that are stabled at Aqueduct will be transported to the Terminal course by van as will the flat horses from Jamaica and Aqueduct. The new ffpen grandstand is completed. Painters put the final touches to it yesterday. Chairs in the boxes also were placed in position. A new inner rail has been built around the upper turn of the turf course. This rail was placed in position for the two-year-old races. The usual train service on the Ixmg Island Railroad will be operated on both days of the meeting. a
