, I . , COLUMBUS RACING TODAY iBeulah Park to Throw Open Its Gates for Spring Meeting of Nineteen Days. COLUMBUS. Ohio., April 16— Under most favorable conditions the Capitol City Raeins Associations spring meeting of nineteen days will be inaugurated tomorrow at Beulah Park, at 2:15 p. m., which is post time of the first of the seven well filled races carded for the first days program. The Inaugural Handicap for a purse of ,000 will be the feature race. The track is in excellent condition considering the consistent rain which prevailed in this locality during the past week. As a result of good and painstaking care the course has become lightning fast under the warm sun the past few days. Officials of long standing and well known to patrons of the sport will preside. The list I consists of Joseph A. Murphy and John T. I Ireland, stewards: H. B. Shepard, presiding judge ; Chester Stands, associate judge ; lister Dean, starter, and W. R. Norvell, racing secretary. Weather conditions for the opening are unsettled with a clouded sky threatening rain.
