JUDGE NELSON A VISITOR Well Known Racing Official on His Way From Tijuana to Toronto — Great Admirer of Carlaris. Judge Nelson is a great admirer of Carlaris. He says the Knglish-brcd colt is one of the fastest horses this country has ever seen and had not the injury kept the colt out of the Kentucky Derby, he surely would have won that coveted race. "Carlaris can run a mile and a quarter in 2 :00." said judge Nelson, "and. as in all racing history there is no instance of two horses of such superlative speed appearing at the same time, I fail to see how any of Carlaris opponents could measure strides with this wonderful exponent of speed." »
