RE-ELECT OLD OFFICERS Thoroughbred Horse Association Keeps Present Official Staff — Field Men Approved. LEXINGTON, Ky.. May 4.— At a dinner meeting of the board of directors of the Thoroughbred Horse Association at the Ashland Golf Club Monday evening. Col. 10. R. Bradley was re-elected president of the organization. A. B. Hancock was re-elected vice-president and Thomas B. Cromwell was re-elected secretary-treasurer. Plans for the growth and extension of the organization were discussed and formulated and they embraced the publication of the Thoroughbred Horse weekly instead of monthly. Secretary Cromwell stated after the meeting that the publication will appear as a weekly about October. The employment of William Woodard to be a field man and organizer was ratified I and the president and secretary were em-, powered to employ other men for such work I in other sections within their discretion. The j secretary was instructed to look into the i matter of the publication of a statistical re-I view in advance of the yearling sales for the j benefit of the breeders and the buyers. It was voted that the Thoroughbred Horse Association endorses the proposal that has been made to Col. Matt J. Winn and there be given at trucks of the Kentucky Jockey Club at least one race other than selling races each week at one mile and a quarter or over with minimum weight of 100 pounds on any starter and to have ,500 added, with the understanding that there will be as many as five to fill it. It also was voted that the Thoroughbred Horse Association will give its whole-hearted support to the I.atonia Championship Stakes and that the suggestion be made by officers of the organization to the Kentucky Jockey Club that it have 5,000 added with a view-to making of it an autumn classic similar in standing to the St. Lcger in Kngland. It was voted that president Bradley, vice-president Hancock and W. 10. Caskey. Jr.. another of the directors, are to be the griev-ance committee for the year. The meeting adjourned subject to the call of president Bradley. The Ashland Oaks winner, Florence Mills, went five-eighths this morning in 1 :06. a.
