LOCAL RACING SITUATION Representatives of Various Chi ¬ cago Tracks to Meet and Frame Racing1 Schedule The Chicago racing situation remains un ¬ changed The proposed meeting announced for Thursday morning at the Congress Hotel between the representatives of the various tracks in this vicinity was not held Thomas Bourke of the Illinois Jockey Club being unable to attend This meeting was to be called it is said for the purpose of reaching an amiable agreement for a schedule of rac ¬ ing dates to cover all the socalled Chicago tracks tracksAs As it now stands Homewood is the only course that has announced dates while Haw ¬ thornes fate remains in the balance and nothing definite has been made known con cering Lincoln Fields Col Matt J Winns new track near Crete 111 111Col Col Winn came here from Collinsville ex ¬ pressly for the proposed meeting and said that arrangements were now under way to bring all the interested parties together early next week if they could not meet late Thurs ¬ day evening He spent the afternoon at Lin ¬ coln Fields where he found wonderful prog ¬ ress had been made since his last visit visitThe The running of the Latonia Derby next Saturday called for Colonel Winns presence at the beautiful Kcnton County track oppo ¬ site Cincinnati and he will depart for there to return to Chicago next week
