My Mary had a comfortable margin over Wrangler for second place. The latter began slowly but made up much ground in the final eighth The following race, fashioned for maiden two-year-olds at five eighths. brought about a keen struggle every inch of the way. Queen of Sheba turned up the winner after following closely in the early pace, saved much ground on the stretch turn and gained the lead, but barely outstayed Red Leather. The latter was gaining at every stride, and would h.iAe won if the distance had been a bit further. Lady Klcanor tired slightly in the Stretch, after having set the early pace.
