Won easily; second and third driving. NIMROD showed fine speed and set a good pace for the entire race. ROTARIAN raced in closest pursuit, but tired and just lasted to save second place. LEW POPE began slowly and was ridden wide on the turns, but came with a great rush through the stretch. DAVIS JR. raced well and only tired in the last sixteenth. PRINCESS DARRELL was ridden wide and tired in the last quarter. SHASTA BOX was far back for the entire race.
