Dick WelW Selections At Fairmount Park BKYNDEAR— HIGH JOY— HIDDEN JEWEL. The opening three-quarters dash should prove a likely spot for BRYNDRAR, which races for I". Heigel. She has proved most consistent here, winning one purse and getting the show money in another in her three starts. She is in good trim right now, and we expect her to step out in front and make every" post a winning one. HIGH JOY is the danger in the race, she being-a winner of her last out by many lengths. The distance may lw a little too long for her. but her light impost should be to her advantage. HIDDEX JEWlCI, showed a partial return to form in her last, and she may be good enough for the show today. GNOME SECOND— EOBETOP— SHASTA IRISH. Of the maiden two-year-olds which are to race over the five-eighths of the second. GNOME SECOND looks like much the best play. He has been turning in some good performances, and only in his last out was denied victory by the margin of a nose. It was a fast race for the class of performers and, if he only goes as well today, should not have much trouble in scoring. The Bed well colorbearer. FORETOP, is also in Jgood form at th" present and is soon due to graduate. He should take care of the place without much difficulty. SHASTA IRISH can do better than her one race here showed and, if she would race hack to her training moves, would most likely be the one to get the show money. SPATS— HOLLY BOY— JAl NKBAR. The third will see some ordinary ones in action. The old timer, SPATS, has been racing like he was wont to do in his younger days and, as a consequence, has won his hist two races. These were over the short sprinting distance of five and a half furlongs, but the longer route today should not make much difference to him if he has retainer that form. HOLLY BOY has been turning in some nice moves and all he needs to do to get the place is to run back to those works. JAUNEBAR was able to get the place money in one of the Aurora races. If he races as well today, he may be the one to show here. BELLFONT— HAPPY BOB— MOSS FOX II. The Caseyville Purse, a three-quarters dash, is to be run as the fourth, and we think BELLFONT is good enough to win it. She has been coming along in a manner to suggest that she is about ready for a winning effort and this looks like a favorable spot for her. The recent winner HAPPY BOB, would have to be given consideration were the distance a little longer. It may be that his early foot will enable him to be close enough up to grab off the place money. The veteran MOSS FOX II. has not been to the races this year. He was good at times last year and, if in any kind of form at all, may be able to garner the small end of the purse. PRINCESS PAN— BIG HEART— DA VIHL. PRINCESS PAN is picked to romp home the winner in the Collinsville Business Mens Purse, the feature number on the card. It is over the sprinting distance of three-, quarters and at the weights, she seems to hold the advantage. She gets in with ninty-eight pounds, whle BIGHEART is to shoulder 100. With her light impost she should be ahle to get out in front and maintain her advantage to the finish. BIGHEART is said to be ready for a good race and, if such is the case, he will be heard from in the race. The two-time winner, DAVID L. is a hard one to pass, but we think the best he can get today is the show money. Both of his wins were at a mile and he does not show so well over the shorter distance of three-quarters mile. SUPER KING— CHEMI8ERIE— ALARD. The sixth is the only distance event down for decision. This is over the mile and an eighth route, and some of the better class of platers are to contest. The McFadden racer, SUPER KING, is our choice to cop here. He can go the distance and, with a fast racing strip, his chances are enhanced. CHEMISERIE is long overdue, but has met with ill luck on more than one occasion. If she gets an equal break of luck today, she should not have much trouble in taking down the second money. ALARD can do better than his last two races make him out to be. A race back to his best form would very likely see him well up at the wind-up. SANDALWOOD— COLONEL WINN— TRIPLETT. The final race on the program is still another sprint affair, it being at three-quarters. The good SANDALWOOD should account for this purse, and we think he will be home the easiest winner of the day. He met with defeat in his last start, after winning two in a row before that. It may be that it wasnt his day. but we look for him to atone for that defeat here. COLONEL WINN has finally got into some kind of condition, and he needs but to repeat his last effort to get the place money. TRIP-LETT won her last out in an easy manner. She doesnt rate up with the first two mentioned, but seems to be the best of the others. One Best Bet — SANDALWOOD, in the Seventh Bace.
