RACELAND DERBY INCREASE Outstanding Feature of Raceland Meeting to Have ,500 Added This Year. LKXINGTON, Ky.. April 6— The Race-land Derby this year will have ,500 Added. This is an increase of ,500. The date for its decision will be July 16, which is one week after the owning of the twenty-five day meeting on July 9. J. O. Keene. general manager of the Tri-State Fair and Racing Association today-stated that the Ashland Handicap, for three-year-olds and upward is to be run on July 9. and the Irontonia Stakes, for two-year-olds, to be run on July 2:5, will each have ,000 Added, and that these three events will close for entries on May 9. He also stated that two other events, each to have ,500 Added, one to be run July HO, and the other August 6. the closing day of the meeting, will be announced to close on a date in the first week of the racing at Race .and.
