LATONIA STAKE ENTRIES ♦ Independence Handicap Has More Than Hundred Nominations. ♦ Princess Doreen ami Kothermel, Winners of l.est Two Renewals, Again Among Kllgibles. LOUISVILLE. Ky„ April 6— For the seventeenth renewal of the Independence Handicap during the spring meeting at Iatonia. the Kentucky Jockey Club received one hundred and three nominations. The 0.00 fixture at one mile and three-sixteenths has drawn a thoroughly representative list, including many Kentucky Derby candidates. The Idle Hour StocK Farm Stable of E. R. Bradley, as was to be expected, is the most liberal nominator. Nine thoroughbreds have l een entered to carry the green and white silks. These are Bagenhaggage, Broadway Jones. Beneficent and Boot to Boot, among the older horses, and the three-year-olds Boo. Bewithus. Bt-lg -nland. Buddy Bauer and Bit o" I.ove. The Audley Farm Stable of the Jones Brothers has nominated Princess Doreen. winner of the 1923 renewal ; Bowie Clark. Creek Indian and Glister. J. X. Camden named NorVaster, Hydromel, Wooldridge and liotherm-l. winner last year. George Collins tentative representatives are Old Slip. Shark, Thistle Cold and Thistle Boy. F. B. McLean lias Jock. War Fagle. Prince of Wales and Sport Trail to choose from, while Harry Payne Whitneys entries include Overall. Blondin, Acrostic. Whiskery and Afterglow.
