1 "KENTUCKY TURF NOTES | V ยป LOUISVILLE. KY.. April C Trainer Tommy Taylor arrived at the Kentucky Association course today from New Orleans with the string of Col. J. Swigert Taylor, the horses being Scotland and Golden Top, the two-year-olds. Isostasy. Cross Play, Scotland Girl and Scotland Belle. Dr. J. E. Thomas, trainer for I. J. Collins of Lancaster, Ohio, left Lexington this afternoon for Beulah Park, Columbus, with the two-year-old Delerious, by Hilarious, which was broken for him along with W. E Caskey. Jr.s, horses at the local track. Charles B. Shaffer, owner of the Coldstream Stud, arrived at Lexington this morning from Chicago to inspect his farm and horses. He is just back from a four months trip abroad, during which time he has been practically around the world. Acting for Mrs. H. Croissant, trainer J. S. Middleton, so!d the four-year-old mare Dorothy Simms, to the Sanola Stock Farm Stable at private terms. Trainer George Arvin. in charge of the eastern division of the H. T. Archibald stable, is expected here for the purpose of shipping six of the stables two-year-olds, and the three-year-old Candy May to join his division at Pimlico. All of these horses wintered well. The two-year-olds in George Walkers good care are well advanced in their training. A carload of horses belonging to the Clyde Van Dusen stable arrived from New Orleans and was given over to Harry Saladin to train until after the Lexington meeting. Another carload in charge of Van Dusen was routed to Lexington. The latter consignment included the Derby eligible, Torchilla. R K. Heffernan arrived from New Orleans with a division of the J. J. Coughlin stable that he campaigned at New Orleans. The consignment included Live Let Live, Michael Kenna, Hank Monk, Fannie May and the two-year-old Bill Harrah. Cerveno Krev. Mrs. Snider, Sheepshead Bay. Ethel Sherlock, Florence Kranz, Miss Josefa. Crepe Satin, Hyka Lyka, Charles Robinson and Kischef Macher. There were turned over to Danny Miller, head trainer for the Coughlin stable. The Mose Goldblatt stable that raced in New Orleans arrived in charge of Con Hagan. The shipment included Good Shepherd, 4 Kentucky Derby eligible. Sir Peter. Swordsman, Dry Moon. King High. Queens-ton. Teak, Dedans and Overall. Goldblatt is on his way to Brookdale farm to arrange for the shipment of a number of the H. 1*. Whitney two-year-olds to Churchill Downs.
