Won driving: second and third the same. mcll began fast and raced in close pursuit of his stablemate, while having the inside position, then responded gamely to hard riding and got up to win in the final few strides. BOGAN showed the most speed and, setting a fast pace, was hard ridden for the entire race. ROYAL PENNANT, always in nearest pursuit of the leaders, finished with a belated rush on the outside through the final eighth. GIFT HAWK met with interference, but recovered gamely and finishd fast. Won driving: second and third the same. IAIiY CLASSEN raced close up for the first half mile, then responded gamely when called on and after pausing MAJlBA, outfinished NIMROD. The latter came with a rush after rounding the far turn and finished resolutely through the stretch. CANDYMAKER, prominent from the start, came through between horses in the stretch and was going fastest of all at the end. HARRY CARROLL began flat-footed and closed a big gap. MAJlBA showed the most speed from the start and saved ground where possible, but tired at the end. GAFFER had no mishaps. NORTH BREEZE began slowly and was far back for three quarters, then moved into second place with a rush on the outside and passed MAKAT midway of the home stretch, but had to be hard ridden to maintain his advanUge to the end. DELHI BOY raced close up from the start and made a game finish. MARAT sprinted into an easy lead, but tired In the last eighth. BETSY BACON raced well and had no mishaps. KENTICKY II. raced into n slight lead soon after the start and. setting a fast pace under slipht restraint, rushed into a longer lead when released from restraint and won easing up. LASSA followed in close pursuit and, finishing gamely, managed to outstay GOLDEN VOLT. The latter raced close up and, coming to the outside for the final drive, finished gamely. BI.IE DARTER raced closest up to the stretch and tired. BACKROPE was in close quarters most of the way. Scratched— 12458 Gold Coin. 112. Overweight — Backrope, 1 pound. EDWARD GRAY raced closer tip than usual and raced into the lead, but could not withstand the winners Itelated rush. PATRICIA J. raced forwardly and finished gamely. MARTHA WASHINGTON raced fairly well. SIGNOLA ran a good race. TH1STI.EWOOD quit after running a fast three-quarters. CANISTKIJ set a good pace and raced VOSHELL into defeat in the first three-quarters, then raced gamely to tin- end. DANCING FOOL closed a big gap from a slow beginning. SPEEDY PRINCE raced close up and was in close quarters next the inner rail until reaching the far turn, then came to the outside and, finishing fast and gamely, passed SHADOWDALE into the lead and was under slight restraint at the end. SHADOWDALE forced a good early pace and raced Into the lead while rounding the last turn, but tired in the last eighth. I.ANOII. was niu h used in racing MOLLY LOCKET into defeat aud tired. DELUSIVE showed speed. MOLLY LOCKET tired badly.
