FAIRMOUNTS OPENING DAY » Collinsville Handicap With ,000 Inaugural Stake Attraction. ♦ Happy Argo, Top Boot, Croyden, and Prlne* of Wales, Among the Prominent Entries From I.ast — Nominations Total 87. ♦ COLLINSVILLE. 111., April 25.— For the opening day of the Fairmount Park spring meeting. May 2S, the feature will be the running of the Collinsville Handicap, at three-quarters, with ,000 added. The leading stables of America, from coast to coast, are represented in the nominations received for this event, which was won last year by Captain Hal. Among the owners who have signified their intention of sending their colors to the post in this event are many who have not before raced at beautiful Fairmount Park. The Kershaw Stable has named the English horse, Happy Argo; Foxhall Keene will send Top Boot from New York. Harry Payne Whitney has named Croyden and several others. Mrs. Rosa M. Hoots of Tulsa, Okla., has nominated Beggar Boy. Black Golds brother. E. B. McLean of Washington and Cincinnati, will send Prince of Wales and others. Willis SMarpc Kilmer, of New York and Virginia, has several of Sun Briars colts nominated. Hal Price Headley has named Helens Babe and Florida .Gold. Rudolph Spreckels, of California, has named Reporter and Post Maid. These are a few of the prominent owners who will race at Fairmount Park, and have signified their intenton of being here for the opening day by making nominations for the main event of the first day. The nominations follow : COLLI NSVILLE HANDICAP— For three -year-olds and over. By subscription of !t each: 00 additional to start: hB~ .000 added, of which 00 to second. 00 to third mid -V to fourth. Weights five days before race.
