The Kenton Farms Musician, which went amiss early last year, is taking regular training again and may be seen under colors during the meeting. Xumerous offers for the colt were refused a year ago. Dan Lehan has sent the mares Vivandiere and Dance to S. H. Velies I.lue Springs Farm in Missouiri, to be bred to the Irish stallion Prince Phillip, which Mr. Velie imported last fall. Mr. Velie has two good looking two-year-olds, by Prince Philip in training here under Phil Walters. They are The Regum, a gray filly, Winnow — Daudation ; a bay filly from Laudatory. Horsemen expressed sorrow to learn of the death in Latonia. Saturday night, of I iuis Xoble, stepfather of Charles Xolte, superintendent of th. I.atoiiia track. Mr. Noble had been employed at the Louisville and L__M_a tracks for many years, and was held in high esteem. J. .1. IJeckham. jurist of Jacksonville, Fla,, ; arrived today for a short visit. He is the j owner of the fast three-year-old filly Man-Helen , which is being trained by D. T. Morris. Judge Beckham will depart for his home in a few days, but will return to Kentucky to witness the running of the Kentucky Derby. He has witnessed tb-s last twenty Derbv renewals.
