ROYAL OMAR, far back in the early running, came with a rnsh through the last three-eighths and got up to win in the last few strides. RED GRANGE, away fast, took the lead Immediately and showed the most speed, but was outfinished. CAPISTRANO, prominent throughout, raced gamely in the final drive. RETORT tired in the stretch. QUEENSTON, away slowly and forced wide in the early running, saved much ground when moving up fast on the stretch turn and, racing into a long lead, won in a canter. HENGIST, away fast, set the early pace and swerved out slightly on the stretch turn, then finished well under vigorous riding. "WELLET was taken up at the start, but came fast in the stretch. CANNON CLUB tired. COLONEL TRICK bolted on the stretch turn. BEAU ASPIN was done early. BLUSHING MAIDEN was practically left at the post. Won easily; second and third driving. FLYING CLOUD raced under restraint for the first three-quarters, then responded gamely when called on and, passing BROAD AXE, won going away. The latter, hard ridden from the start, took the. lead after going the first quarter and showed much speed, but gave way when challenged. ALLOY raced Into third place after going a half mile and held it to the end, but could not get to the two leaders. DANDYBRUSH was done after going a half mile. Won driving; second and third the same. GOOD SHEPHERD set a good pace to the stretch and, after being headed, finished fast and out-famed ACIREMA. The latter, in close pursuit of the winner for the first half mile, raced into a short lead when an eighth out, but tired near the end. FAIR STAR began sluggishly and raced wide n the turns, but finished well. SCIMITAR was racing prominently when his rider lost his stirrup and eased him up in the stretch. KING BASIL was badly outrun. Won driving; second and third the same. HAPPSC TIME, away fast and showing the most speed in the going, swerved out badly after reaching the last eighth, but gamely outfinished TORO. The latter raced close up and, saving much ground n the turns, raced to the winner with a rnsh in the stretch, but suffered from being forced out by the winner and began tiring near the end. KENTUCKY ACE raced forwardly and saved ground where possible. CHARLEY J. S. ran out badly on the stretch turn. CARTAGO finished fast. GOLD HANDLE ran poorly. SINGLE FOOT began rapidly and, showing flue speed, raced into the lead and, setting a fast pace, came wide and, swerving out on the stretch turn, was taken under restraint and easily held PERCENTAGE safe, despite continued swerving out in the last eighth. PERCENTAGE raced in closest pursuit of the winner from the start and made a game finish, bat was overmatched. COTLOGOMOR, away very slowly and racing far back for the first five-eighths, closed a gap with a rush and waa going best at the end. ROLLED STOCKING swerved badly and frequently. CANTER was done on the stretch turn. NEDDA and ROTHERMEL bumped when nearing the stretch and both quit. Won handily; second and third driving. JOE RUDOLPH, badly outrun on the first five-eighths, came with a rush on the inside in the stretch and got up in the last fifty yards to win going away. MY EVA was saved close up to the stretch turn, then passed SEA DRIFT in the nevt eighth and took the lead, but swerved out badly and was passed by the winner. WRACK RAY raced close up and finished gamely. LONGCHAMPS finished fast. SEA DRIFT set a good pace, but tired badly after reaching the stretch. CH1TTAGONG suffered from early interference, but lacked speed and ran a bad race.
