Won driving; second and third the same. GREY OF DAWN, close up from the start, came fast through the last eighth and, finishing gamely on the outside, got up to win in the final strides. PARTAKE began slowly and raced to the leaders with a rush on the last turn and raced SPRINGALD into defeat, but tired in the final drive. SPRINGALD was hard ridden for the entire race. UNIONVILLE saved ground when entering the home stretch and finished fast and gamely. GOLDEN BLOOM, badly outpaced for seven-eighths, finished witli a belated rush. The latter set the early pace and raced gamely to the end. MIDINETTE was taken up soon after the start and dropped back, but responded gamely to hard riding and finished fast when clear. LONG POINT began quickly, raced ROCK THORN into defeat in the first three-eighths, saved ground when entering the home stretch, and wou going away. ROCK THORN set the early pace and was .hard ridden throughout, but could not withstand the rush of the winner. ENSIGN raced forwardly and finished close up.
