" WASHINGTON PARK NOTES s HOMEWOOD, 111., June 18. Trainer Fred. Hopkins .and his retinue leave, for Cincinnati Sunday. "Whiskery will be shipped there also on Sunday. The Harry Payne AVhitney representative is an intended starter in the Latonia Derby, to be run at the Mildale course next Saturday. Hydromel and Buddy Bauer were also shipped to Latonia. They are also intended starters in the Latonia Derby. "Word was received this morning of the death of "Liege" Brewster at Lexington, Ky. Brewster was one of the veteran trainers and handled some real cracks during his activities. General manager C. "W. Hay was greatly gratified with the" results of Derby Day. "What was particularly impressive," said Mr. Hay, "was the generous clubhouse patronage. It was to lie expected that the general turf enthusiasts would be in attendance, but the immense patronage in the clubhouse exceeded our expectations. It was gratifying to note that some of the most prominent persons in Chicago, as well as other cities, were on hand to view the race."
