PEANUTS WILL HEAD STUD N1CW YORK, N. Y., June IS. After little Peanuts had won the Brooklyn Handicap at Aqueduct today, owner R. L. Gerry stated that the son of Ambassador IV. Agnes Sard will be placed at the head of his stud in Broome County when his riding career is over. According to the owners bookkeeping, Peanuts has won a little more than 0,000 for him thus far, and the hope is held that this sum will, be swelled to 51QO.O0O. It is not an over-ambitious mark for the sturdy chestnut. The Brooklyn-Handicap was run at a killing pace. Chance Play, the pacemaker until Peanuts overhauled him in the final strides, raced to the one mile post in 1:36, with his rival two lengths behind. This equalled the track record for one mile made tjy John P. Gricr in 1921. Incidentally, the fastest mile run at Aqueduct last year was 1 :37; Macaw and Mars being the Tacers.
