5 1 5 NAYARIT BEULAH SURPRISE Disguise Gelding Outstays Cut Bush in Neal House Purse at Columbus, Ohio. COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 25.— J. Switchers Xayarit recovered his best form and took the measure of the best field parting today in the feature purse at Beulah Park this afternoon. Prominent from the start, the Disguise gelding disposed of Panola after a half mile, and in a furious drive succeeded in holding a slight advantage over the fast-finishing Cut Bush. Panola lasted long enough to save third. Scotlaud Forever, the favorite, dropped out of contention in the last quarter. Once more ihe racing was staged over a track deep in mud and upsets were numerous, as is the general rule in such going. The attendance was surprisingly good, despite the autum-like weather, which prevailed. Tlany of the finishes were close enough to arouse enthusiasm. Among them was that of Peralta, which captured the third race from Regularity after this pair had raced prominently from the start. Clear Star secured third place from the top-heavy favorite, Polar Sea, which was a victim of bad racing luck. Finishing with bulldog courage in the stretch, Snappy Pal headed Dolly Virginia in the last few strides of the opener, which marked his maiden victory. Wrack Maid finished fast in the last quarter to beat Spats through the stretch in the second race.
