LONDON, England, April 25.— Priory Park, the six-year-old thoroughbred, which races for J. B. Joel, won the City and Suburban Handicap, of one mile and a quarter, at Epsom Downs today in a driving finish. Fohanaun, carrying the green and pink stripes of Sol Joel, brother of the owner of the winner, was second. The Mohawk, owned by Capt. J. R. H. Hutchison was third. Sledmere carried Summerville Tattersalls silks into fourth place. There were eighteen starters. Although he made a gallant finish, Fohanaun was not quite good enough. The five- year-old son of Glasgerion — Thistle carried 125 pounds, topweight of the field, was ridden by F. Winter. Priory Parks impost was one pound less and he was piloted by B. Cars-lake. The Mohawk was in with 118 pounds i and was ridden by H. Wragg. Sledmere car-, ried E. Jones and 117 pounds. Fohanaun, the 3 to 1 favorite, gave his sup- porters much encouragement to the very last stride. He took the lead at the start and held [ it to the last 100 yards. Under the whip, Priory Park got up in the last stride to win by a neck. The Mohawk was one length back. Priory Park paid 20 to 1 and The Mohawk 15 to 1. The City and Suburban result was the Lincolnshire result repeated, with the exception that the Joel colors fin-[ ished in reversed order. In the Lincolnshire, , Sol Joels Dark Warrior was the winner, while J. B. Joels Philammon was second. The Mohawk was also third in the Lincolnshire. ■
