NEW YORK TURF NOTES t $ $ NEW YORK, N. Y., May 4. At private terms today T. Quinlan sold his recent claim, Calm, to George Alexandra. H. A. Bowns claimed Omareen from Mrs. Louise Viau out of the first race today for ?3,f 00. The horses which J. Simon Healy purchased out of the dispersal sale of E. F. Whitney arrived at Belmont Park this morning. The horses were purchased for the stable of Richard Whitney and will be trained by Healy. "Merry Bill" Anderson, one of racings best known- raconteurs, has joined the club house commissioners circle.
