♦ "aurora turf notes 1 $ — — e AURORA. 111.. May 14. L. V. Bellew. Jr., was an arrival at Exposition Park from Louisville, bringing the horses Blue Granite and Catherine W., to be raced here. Racing secretary Henry received a total of 121 entries for Tuesdays races, this being the largest response from the horsemen at this meeting. Tomorrows card includes four long distance contests. Jockey C. E. Allen departed for Churchill Downs Sunday and expected to ride Jack Higgins, a Kentucky Derby candidate, in the Mammoth Cave Purse there today.- Jockey C. E. Allen is slated to handle Jack Higgins in the Derby Saturday. John Carey, racing secretary of the Ak-Sar-Ben Exposition Company. Omaha, Neb., was a visitor at Exposition Park again today.
