TORO REACHES THE DOWNS LOUISVILLE, Ky.. May 14.— Toro, Edward B. McLeans vanquished hero of last Fridays running of the Preakness Stakes, in which he suffered defeat by a nose by Victorian, was unloaded at Churchill Downs late Sunday evening. The son of The Porter— Broc-atelle arrived from the Pimlico track in company with six of the other McLean horses and in charge of assistant trainer James Mooney. Chief trainer John F. Schorr announced that all of the horses stood the trip in good style. The star colt had very light exercise this morning and Schorr indicated that he will be prepared for his final stiff gallop over the Derby distance of a mile and a quarter Wednesday. The colt has done well since liis Preakness race, and Schorr and others of the McLean contingent are satisfied that Toro will be the horse to beat in the Derby renewal.
