MYEW YORK TURF NOTES t $ s NEW YORK, X. Y.. May 14. Sidney Goch has turned his recent purchase, Ability, over to Bob MeKeag to train in the future. Martin Bowers, Mattie Glennon and George Benz joined the local handicapping brigade following the close of the Pimlico meeting. J. B. Campbell leaves for Toronto tonight to assume his duties at Woodbine Park. He was accompanied by his general assistant, Stanley Gillespie. Bob Shannon goes to Woodbine Park with four of the Bud Fisher stable, leaving Wednesday. Omareen was claimed by G. W. Carroll out of the sixth race for ,000. Max Hirsch shipped Sortie to Louisville. The horse has fully recovered from his injury. Hirsch leaves today for Kentucky. Jockey A. Robertson, who rode with great success in Havana, arrived from Kentucky, and will ride here for Harry Payne Whitney. Jockeys E. Barnes and F. Stevens arrived from Baltimore and joined the local colony. Frank Murphy brought jockey H. Little over from Baltimore to ride R. T. Wilsons Carnivorous in the Greenfield Claiming Stakes. Murphy will leave for Toronto tonight, accompanied by the boy, to report back to his contract employer, T. J. Donohue. A. J. Joyner was more than pleased with Gerards effort on Saturday, and announced that if the horse continues to improve he would be started in the Withers Stakes on Saturday. Claude Kyle, well-known handicapper, made his first appearance of the year.
