The latter, outpaced for the first half, worked his way up rapidly in the stretch and, having closed an ininiei.se gap, finished fast. Tl,!i HlilJJT also worked his way up gradually while on the outside and. finishing well, held DANCING safe. DANCING raced forwardly on the inside and saved much ground on the turns, but tired npar the end. FI.OHENCE KKANZ showed the most parly spppd, but ran out o:i the stretch turn. QUIN CHIN, always close up. made a game challenge in the stretch on the outside, but was outfinished. FAIR CATCH was outpaced to the stretch, then closed up fast and got up in time to beat JESSIE ItEI.l.E. Th? latter raced well to the stretch, but was in close cuarters and could not run freely from near the end. TAAEI.AE SIXTY showed the most speed and set a good pace for the first half, but tired when challenged. SILVER QUEEN tired after showing spred briefly. ODNGA DIN was well back in the early running, but saved much ground on the inside in the stretch and finished gamely. AOI.SEL, showed early speed and raced well to the btretch, but tired, and so did HARMONY. OMAISDALE and SILVER BCEPTEB began poorly. VOSHELL, sud lenly improved, raced in closest pursuit of ONQlISTADOR to the stretch and challenged the latter, took the lead, then drew away slightly and held BLUSHING MAIDEN safe. The latter, probably much the best, began slowly and was allowed to race far back to the stretch turn, then camp like a flash and finished faster than the winner. CONQUISTADOR displayed his customary high speed and rated into a big early lead, but began tiring in the final eighth and was easily out-finished. STAMlDAI.E raced forwardly and finished well and ran a good race. MBBIWICK saved ground on all the turns, but could aeisa reach the leaders. The latter showed the most parly speed, but began swerving out when entering the stretch and tired. TOM BXBNfl ran far below his tine form and failed to respond to hard riding in the last quarter.
