OTTO raced close up in the early running, but was taken back, then came fast in the stretch and made a game finish. YARGEE ran a good race, but tired near the end. CHATSON moved up fast in the stretch, but tired near the end. SOUTHLAND BOY began tiring after going three-quarters. PENTHORN was badly outrun. CAROLYN CHATPELL suffered from crowding in the first eighth, as did BRIGAND. LAWLKY saved much ground on most of the turns and raced well in the stretch drive. COLONEL SHAW inn a good race and, but for having to race wide on the turns, would probably have been second. JACK HIGGINS was gaining through the stretch and racing well to the end. GOLDEN RACKET had no mishap*. DODOSON quit after leading for three-quarters. FLATTERY was going well at tit*- end. DARK EAGLE quit after going a half mile. DOWAGIAC dropped back soon after the start. M1NO seemed to sulk much of the way and was alwavs far back. GEORGIE saved much ground in the last quarter, but failed to improve bis position. BILL HARE began giving way after reaching the stretch.
