CANRERRA raced into the lead at once and, showing the most speed, held her lead resolutely and outfinished KENTCCKY ACE. The latter sawd ground on the turns while racing into second place in the first quarter and. after racing in close quarters to the stretch, made a fast finish. PORTIA saved much ground where possible and finished gamely. NICK CULLOP showed speed, but raced wide on the turns and tired in the stretch. GOVERNOR PRATT raced prominently. MISS FIRE tired. Won easily; second and third driving, MAYOR WALKER was close up under strong restraint to the stretch, then came fast and, finishing with a rush, won easing up. HARVARD was forced to race wide to tie stretch, where he also finished with a rush. EMINENCE began slowly and raced very wide to the stretch, where he made up much ground. CAM. PLAY was in cose quarters in the first quarter, but could not menace the leaders when clear. PRIM ETON showed the most early speed and tired in the stretch, EATONDEN began tiring after going three-eighths. PING PONG lost his rider at the start. PETER PRIM began slowly and was far back for five eighths, then gained steadily and got up to win in the final stride. SMOLDERING showed much early speed ami. after being taken back, raced into the lead, but failed to outfinish the winner. ROYAL OMAR raced forwardly throughout and finished well DOCTOR RANKIN raced well. IRAQ finished fast. RRIGHT SHAWL was racing well in the final drive. POLICEMAN DAY showed speed for three-quarters. LAWLEY slipped out of close quarters in the first three-sixteenths, then raced in close np pursuit . until called on and held the lead easily through the stretch. KING BASIL worked his way up fast on the outside after going three-eighths and made a fast finish. LORD MARMION saved much ground on the last turns, but barely outfinished CARTAGO. The latter closed an immense gap and was going fast in the final drive. BLACKWOOD began tiring after showing speed to the stretch. DARK PHANTOM began well, but was forced back when MISS I.EE lumped her. The latter was not straight when she began fast and interfered with DARK PHANTOM, then showed speed. ROGUISH EYE suffered from interference and a lack cf racing room for the first five-sixteenths, but closed a big gap with a great rush through the final quarter and got up to win in the last stride. THE OKAH raced into a close up position at once and passed the leader after reaching the stretch, but, after taking a good lead, could not withstand the winner. VEKMAJO improved his position fast after going the first quarter and finished gamely, despite slight interference in the final drive. CLYDE VAN DUSEN was going well in the final drive. PARAPHRASE raced well. LEE COOPER showed fine early speed, but quit. ALTO was knocked out of any chance in the first quarter. LANSQUENET tired.
