NOTED ENGLISH OWNER DEAD SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. LONDON, England, May 30.— A. C. Howe-son died here Tuesday after a long illness. Born in Holland, educated at Oxford and long a resident of India, where he made a large fortune as a bold speculator, the deceased was well known and very popular in racing circles in England and in India. His best horse probably was Zeno, a champion hurdler. He won the Queens Prize at Kemp-ton Park, with Easter Monday and His Uncle Woody ran third in the Jubilee Handicap. He also owned the winners of many minor stakes. Mr. Howeson was an excellent all-around athlete. He played cricket for Oxford. His greatest friend was the late William Nightingale, his trainer»
