EATONDEN HAS MISHAP COLLINSVILLK. 111.. June If. — In connection with the running of Fatonden in the fourth race at Fairmount Park Friday, the following statement was given out by the stewards : The stewards questioned jockey L. Morris as to what happened to Eatonden. He stated that the horse was running easily in third position when he faltered and seemed to buckle up. He thought the colt had either 1 n cut down or had thrown his stifle out and he pulled the colt up. Dr. Michael, the track veterinarian, was sent to the stables to make an examination of the colt. He re-ported that the colt had been jumped on and had two cuts about the hocks each about an inch long. This is a very sensitive place, close to the nsrves, and would cause a horse to stop. Th • horse was cooling out lame and will probably have some swelling in the legs by morning, according to Dr. Michael. The stewards dismissed the matter.
