The stewards announced they will not permit the apprentice allowance to be waived unless the rider originally engaged has been suspended, injured or prevented in any other manner from riding. Jockey C. Phillips departed for Windsor, Canada. Misstep will be returned from Latonia to Arlington for his performance Saturday, June 30, in the American National Turf Handicap, at one mile and an eighth, 5,000 added. The running of this event will be on the final day of the spring meeting. During the absence of trainer Lowenstein. W. Kennedy will have charge of the LeMar Stock Farm thoroughbreds here. J. A. Ambrose, The Okah rider, returned to Latonia today. George Land has resigned as trainer for C. H. Knebelkamp and was succeeded by C. E. Gross. Johnson N. Camden, president of tha American Turf Association, was among the visitors at Arlington Park today. R. Deprema was suspended for three days by the starter in the fifth race. «
