BLKWAWAY had to race wide through the first quarter, but came fast in the stretch and, taking the lead, drew away in the last sixteenth. MY VERNON was away with au advantage and, showing the most speed, saved much ground on the turns, but tired near the end. OTILLA came gamely in the stretch and finished well. TUOMPE OF DAWN came from far back after beginning slowly. CHRISTIE FLANAGAN was away well and raced in closest pursuit to the stretch, but almost fell When his rider took him back sharply in the last eighth. COUNTRY BOY was away poorly.
