HIGH HOPES TAKES FEATURE WINDSOR, Ont., June 21.— R. L Freemans High Hope, ridden by F. Silas, accounted for the Ed Odette Purse, fourth on the program, with Bellarion landing in second place, while third fell to The Abbot. Silas was alert at the barrier, beat the others away, was permitted to open up a good lead, was then taken in hand and, staying close to the inside rail for every stride of the way, was never threatened for the lead. Bellarion, away slowly, quickly went into contention, made a determined effort to get to the flying leader on the turn, came steadily during the stretch and was doing his utmost to hold The Abbot safe. F. Silas, who has quite a followig with Windsor race-goers, was loudly applauded when he was photographed with Mrs. Dunham, daughter of the donor of the handsome blanket that went to the winner. i " .
