Baker wired Arlington Park officials today that he was shipping three horses from Latonia to run in the American National Rush Handicap Saturday, and they are due Friday morning. AVisdom, Woodlore and Dinner Dance, all the property of R. S. Clark and eligible to the handicap, are believed to be the trio. Jockey II Pool will come here to ride one of the starters. Jockey Ralph Ayraud, connected with M. Ia Allens stable, arrived from New York and applied for a license. W. S. Dudley, Kentucky turfman, will leave tomorrow night for Latonia to view the Derby. Francis May, a two-year-old filly by Ultimatum — Arrogance, owned by C. N. Freeman, died following a workout this morning. Howard Jots today wired racing officials that he w:ts sending Illegitimate here for Saturdays stake race. J. O. Koene advised .secretary William Dondas that he would ship Don Diego here to start in the National American Rush Handicap to be run here Saturday. Kdward Patterson, chairman of the Nebraska Racing Commission, was among the afternoons visitors. Mike Hall, Dark Phantom and Chicago, candidates for the American National Rush Handicap Saturday, were given workouts after the second race. Mike Hall went a half in ;49%, Dark Phantom, three-quarters in 1 :20, and Chicago was timed half a mile in :52. The Seagram Stables Solace was sent three-quarters mile in 1 :1C in Dreoaration for Saturdays slake race.
