TOMMY, well ridden, raced through close quarters in the first quarter, then raced in close pursuit to the stretch, where he otitgamed MASTER. The latter raced into an early lead and was hard ridden after going three-eighths, but only began tiring after reaching the last sixteenth. ALCMAN saved ground on the stretch turn nnd finished resolutely. Bit SANDY, knocked back in the early running, saved ground when closing a gap. EMINENCE ran poorly in the going. PRINCESS DONNA showed early speed. CLOVER CLUB forced the early pace under restraint and, taking a good lead after reaching the stretch, only succumbed because of a weak finish by her rider. NANI-IIAWAII showed the most speed to the last quarter, where she swerved when tiring QUEENSTON had no mishaps. ENTHUSIASTIC EDWARD raced wide while making up much ground in the last three-eighths. PENDKL-TON tired. ROSE OF MY HEART and PERFECT MODEL were done after going a half mile. GALAHAD dropped back after moving up fast in the first half mile, then came again after going a mile and outstayed PIGEON nOLE. The latter was saved a goodly distance back to the final three-eighths, then moved up rapidly and tired in the last eighth. BOBA8HELA was much used in forcing the early pace and tired badly after going a mile.
