The latter raced in close quarters on the inside, but gained gradually and finished fastest. NODDING was shuffled back at the start, but also gained gradually and closed a gap. I.lZ FIZ made up much ground in the last quarter. RRUMINA. KING HIGH and JOE ADAMS showed early speed, but tired 1 adly. FORETOLD raced under restraint back of the leaders to the stretch, then moved up with a game challenge under hard riding, got up to outfinish HOURMORE in the last fifty yards. HOURMORB moved up fast when entering the stretch and challenged the leaders when an eighth away, but only got up to nose out LORD VALENTINE in the last stride. The latter set a good pace and raced LOYALi II. into defeat, but tired. AL STEBI.ER closed an immense gap. LOYAL II. was done in the stretch. BATTLE rIKI.l and FIKSl 1RK tired badly. MALCOLM acted badly at the post, delaying the start, then r;ced forwardly and was bumped about on the stretch turn, but gamely ontfinished MARABOU. The latter was outrun to the stretch lurn. but. coming through on the inside, raced up into second pai-e. then tired. OREGON FIR closed a big gap. FLYING TORCH was outrun to the last turn, then came fast r,n the outside and ontfinished MEMORIA. MEMORIA showed some speed, but swerved out and requires a stronger rider. WAPONOCA raced close up throughout, gaining steadily, and also making his challenge in the Stretch, passed BRAY ANNIE, but was outfinished. BRAY ANNIE followed SANDALWOOD dosely and took the lead from the latter, but tired right at the end. THE TAILOR closed an immense gap and finished fast. SANDALWOOD raced into the lead when MALK GARNER quit, but tired in the stretch. TOGGERY DAY threw his rider at the post before the start.
