* NO HOPE FOR FAST TRACK ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 2S.— All hopes for a fast track for Saturdays running of the 5,000 American National Turf and Field Handicap Wi re dissipated by heavy showers this morning, which set at naught the work of the track crew, and put the track in a very muddy condition. There remains little hope for any improvement. Track conditions will have the effect of cutting down the number of starters in the race, but they will ne t rob the contest of its interest. There are a sufficient number of mudlark j in the probable field to insure a starting list of goodly 1 roportions.
