McClelland, clerk of scales and placing judge, attended his duties today despite painful cuts about the left hand which he suffered in a fall Wednesday evening Copies of the revised book of cc.iditiens for the first eight days of racing during the Raceland meeting, which opens July 4, were received here this morning. The previous book was incorrect, according to an editors note. George Moshier will take the Alt red Kane horses to Raceland on Monday. Jockey H. day, under engagement to the stable, will depart in time to ride Golden 1owder in the Independence Handicap at that track. As R. P. Brooks, who has first call on Gray, will not race his small stable at Raceland, Gray will be under call for the Kane stable there. R. C. Frakcs will have second call on the rider. J. P. Jones, who is training the horses of William K. Smith, will leave for Douglas Park on Saturday to take up and break a number of yearlings. J. B. Respess has arranged to ship his entire stable to Lincoln Fields early next week. Jockey D. Dubois will accompany the establishment. The horses which Clyde Van Dusen has been racing here were shipped to Lincoln Fields last night. William H. Shelley, racing secretary at Churchill Downs, Latonia and Lincoln Fields, departed tonight for Chicago, where he will handle numerous preliminary details asso-ciated with the Lincoln Fields meeting, which opens next Monday. S. C. Lyne, owner of French Lass, was among the visitors from Lexington. The mentioned filly, a starter in tho fourth race, attracted Mr. Lyne. James G. Ellis, prominent sportsman and owner of Dade Park, was among the visitors. Re went over some plans for the annual meeting at that course with some of his officials. Trainer J. Reed loaded the stable of Harned Bros, of Louisville for shipment to Lincoln Fields tonight. This afternoon the establishment acquired, at private terms from Payne and West, owners ot the Kenton Farm Stable, the horse 1adona, and he was taken along to the Crete track. Jockey R. Cheatham goes with the stable. George M. Hendrie. prominent owner and breeder, who has a number of horses in training here, was anion;; the days visitors.
