CREECH WIN STREAK ENDS Pirate Gold Defeats Tanist and Cameo at Omaha in Elmwood Park Handicap. OMAHA, Neb., June 2S.— Pirate Gold broke the winning streak of the Creech Stable when he defeated Tanist and Cameo, both carrying the colors of that establishment in the Elmwood Park Handicap, todays feature attraction. The winner was clearly best. Beginning well, he permitted Voshell to set the pace for a half mile, then went to front and had to be but mildly urged to hold Tanist safe, took third money. The races were run over a track deep in mud and the program was riddled with seratche-. Small fields went to the post in all races, but nevertheless some good prices were hung out. Lou Mack came down the extreme outside to win the opener by a narrow margin from Mabel B., which had set the pace. Two Cameo took third money. Jack Fairman was claimed by Aldrich and Winans for ,500.
