POISON, close up from the start, raced into the lead when reaching the stretch and drew away in the last sixteenth to win in a canter. METRONOME took the lead and showed the most early speed and appeared done when reaching the stretch, hut raced well through the final drive and outfinished SWEET MONEY for second place. BWEET MONEY moved up well after going a half mile and. with a stronger rider, would probably have been second. TEEASLEER raced well. SAMARON tired after going a half mile. MAJOE raced well for the entire way and finished gamely when ridden hard. NATIONAL BRICK, coming with a rush through the stretch after making a slow beginning, was going fastest of all at the end. DONNA SANTA tired in the last sixteenth. BEN IIANDI.Y was done when reaching the stretch. CLEO-DALE was always far back. JOE JUNIOR quit badly in the last quarter.
