ASTOR FILLY SCORES SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. EPSOM, England, June 7. — For the fourth time since 1922 Lord Astor won the Epsom Oaks here today. This classic, for three-year-old fillies, over one mile and a half, was worth about 5,000, and the light blue and pink racing silks of the titled owner were carried to victory by Pennycomequick. Golden Silence and Sister Anne, both owned by Lieutenant-Colonel Giles Loder, finished second and third, respectively. Pennycomequick, a daughter of Hurry On — Plymstock, was the favorite at 11 to 10. Golden Silence was quoted at 20 to 1 and her stablemate was held at 7 to 2. Golden Silence is by Swynford — Molly Desmond, while Sister Anne is a daughter of Son-In-Law — Dutch Mary.
