BOD ROGERS raced into contention iu tlie first quarter and, coming to the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn, passed MORSUN and scored in a driving finish. The latter rushed into the lead in the early racing, set a good pace and held on well after being headed. BOWCROFT was shut off on -the back stretch and raced gamely thereafter. STARFERENCE tired. I TOLD YOU began slowly and closed a gap. GREEN HILLS made up much ground. MACON began badly. TOMMY FOSTER quit.
